1. Has your image of Jesus changed during the project? How or Why not?
Yes my image has change during the project. This is because of the fact that I have come to realise that Jesus isn’t always the man with the robe and the long beard. I have gained this knowledge by learning the skill of interpreting art.
2. What do you feel is the best way to portray an image of Jesus and why?
I feel the best way to interpret an image of Jesus is as a picturesque sunrise. This is because I feel that like a sunrise Jesus is beautiful to look at and also a sunrise represents one of Jesus’ main qualities and that was happiness and love. And by a sunrise being so beautiful it brings out both these qualities in a viewer of a sunrise.
3. What have you enjoyed about the project so far and what would you do differently?
So far I haven’t enjoyed the project that much. This is mainly due to the fact that the project has been so rich in art content which I am not particularly interested in. The one thing that I would do differently is to incorproate more ist/re content into the project rather than art content which would therefore make the project more appealing to non art students.

1) What form of medium (music, art or literature ) allows you to best connect with Jesus and Why
The form of medium that best allows myself to connect with Jesus is music. This is because when I listen to the words of a good song it reminds me of good and happy things and Jesus is one of those things.
2) Why has Jesus been portrayed in so many different ways throughout history?
A possible reason why Jesus has been portrayed so many ways throughtout history is because others are jealous of his good work and love towards all people. Another reason maybe that non catholic followers portray him badly because they want their leader to be seen as ultimetly better than Christ.
3) How is Jesus portrayed at Parramatta Marist?
Jesus is portrayed at Parramatta Marist as a loving.kind.caring,leader of the Christian faith. This is mainly because the school has strong and true Catholic values.
4) What artistic time period do you think best represents your image of Jesus and why?
The artistic time period that best represents my image of Jesus is the baroque period. This is because this particular period contained many powerful depiction of Jesus that captured the intense pain that he undertook while being crucified
5) Identify one image of Jesus that appeals to you. What do you like about the representation?
The image :
Abide with Me by Simon Dewey
The main reason why I like this image is because it shows Jesus in a pose which show his main qualities and attributes, the ones he is so very well remebered for e.g unretrainable love, care and forgiveness. I feel that this artist does a great job of this in this depiction.
6) What factors currently shape your image of Jesus and why.
The factors that currently shape my image of Jesus are a) the fact that he is our leader and b) the fact that cares for me and shows unconditional love towards me. The fact that he is our leader is a standout to me. This is because with Jesus being the leader of the church my image of him is therefore shapes my image greatly because as the leader he is obviously the one in charge and anyone who is usually in charge deserves to be put in high regard which makes my image of Jesus one of high regard. Likewise with my second factor that he shows unconditional love towards me. This is also an important factor which changes my image of him. For someone to show that sort of love for me obviously deserves to be put in high regard, such a regard that shapes my image greatly.

2) Why might it be important for young people to identify with an image of Jesus?
It is important for young people to identify Jesus with an image because if they do it shows that they have a deep, sincere and symbolic understanding of who Jesus is and where he is in their life.
3) Where in your life do you most associate with images of Jesus?
In my life i mostly associate images of Jesus with my family and school life. I suspect this is because they are the two most important things in my life and by seeing images of Jesus it symbolises that Jesus is in these parts of my life with me.

1. How many rubrics are their for this project?
There are a total number of three rubrics that are associated with this project. The first is titled individual rubric. the second is titled group rubric and the third and final rubric is titled group task 1 rubric.
2. Describe the purpose of the rubric
The first purpose of the rubric is to give teachers a guidline on what they have to mark a students work on. The second purpose of the rubric is to inform the student on what their project will be marked on. If a student follows his/her rubric correctly there is no reason why that student should receive a low grade for their project.
3. How can you use the rubric to gain the best possible mark
A student can use the rubric to gain the best possible mark by following the description of the task for a grade and adhering to that description in order to reach that grade. Providing the student complates the task to that grades standard there is no reason why they should receive a low mark.

1. List two problems that could occur from students selecting their own groups?
The first problem that may occur from students selecting their own groups is that students will select their mates in their groups and carry on talking while no work will be completed. 2. Which type of student do you think would be selected first?
I think that the type of student that will be selected first is hardworking, thoughful and intelligent. If a student has these qualities then he would obviously be in high demand which means that he will be one of the first students chosen in a group.

I think that they were selected first because they had the right qualities needed for first selection some of these qualities include hardworking, kind, thoughtful and intelligent.
